Poco Trail Relay (25.3 km)

The Poco Trail Relay is a 25.3 km trail relay around Port Coquitlam with start and finish at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre on the Traboulay Poco Trail. The event is scheduled for September 6, 2026.

The 2026 route follows last year’s course with a short detour during leg 2 due to a trail closure in tla-hut-um park. That detour shortens leg 2 by about 1.4 km and lengthens the climb on Shaughnessy before the PoCo climb.

Leg distances:

  • Leg 1: 4.1 km, Hyde Creek Rec Centre to Gates Park
  • Leg 2: 6.3 km, Gates Park to Castle Park
  • Leg 3: 6.1 km, Castle Park to Tinhouse Brewing on the dyke
  • Leg 4: 7.4 km, Tinhouse Brewing to Hyde Creek Rec Centre

Team formats include 4-runner, 3-runner, 2-runner teams and solo runners. Each runner must register. Teams are responsible for their own transportation between exchange points; on-course support and cheering are encouraged. If a registered participant is under 18, a parent may run or bike with them on that section and parents are advised to preview the route with the child.

Packet pickup is scheduled Thursday, September 3 from 16:00 to 18:00 (location TBD) and Sunday morning at Hyde Creek Rec Centre between 07:00 and 07:30. At the finish area the final runner receives the team finisher medals and awards are presented for category winners and selected fun prizes.
