About the race
Placerville's Holiday Jingle & Mingle Run takes place on Thursday, December 24, 2026, at Placerville Station (2984 Mosquito Road, Placerville, CA). The event is held on the El Dorado Trail in historic Placerville among oak trees and rolling hills.

All races use an out-and-back layout on the El Dorado Trail heading east from Mosquito Road and are marked with colored ribbons and signs. The route rises at a steady 3% grade to each distance's turnaround and returns downhill to the finish. The Kids Run, 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and 15K are run entirely on a paved bike path. For the half marathon the pavement ends at about 5.6 miles and the remainder to the turnaround is on dirt and gravel.
There are road crossings along the course; runners are advised to follow volunteer instructions at crossings, especially at Carson Road and Jacquier Road. Multiple aid stations are located at mile 1.5, mile 3.1, mile 6, mile 7.1, mile 10, mile 11.6, and at the finish. All finishers receive a medal. Strollers are permitted in the 5K, 10K, and 15K.
Online registration is available through the morning of the race. Entry fees are non-refundable; transfers to future Troy’s California Trail Runs events are allowed under the event's transfer policy. Volunteers are requested for race-day tasks and receive a free future race as a benefit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
