Pinawa Dam Trail Run
The event is organized by WONDER ATHLETES around Pinawa Dam Provincial Park and finishes at the Pinawa Golf Course Clubhouse. Two course options are offered: a 14 km route starting from the dam park and a 5 km route starting from Suspension Bridge Road, both finishing at the golf course club-house.
The route uses sections of the Trans Canada Trail and local paths, including:
- Old Pinawa Trail - 3.8 km
- Westdal Way - 2.0 km
- Alice Chambers Trail - 2.9 km
- Suspension Bridge
- Heritage Channel Walk - 3.5 km
Chip pickup and race information are available at the Pinawa Golf Clubhouse. A bike marshall follows athletes during the run. The event is self supported for hydration and nutrition. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Entry fee is $70.00 per person; MRA or MTR members receive a $10.00 discount for a $60.00 fee. Payment is accepted by e-transfer or cash and may be made on race weekend.
