Pilgrim's Reckoning 2027
Pilgrim's Reckoning is an 81 mile circular ultra on the historic Bunyan Trail in Bedfordshire, held on 11 and 12 September 2027 at Bedford Greenacres Independent School, Manton Lane, Bedford MK41 7FZ. Competitors follow the route exactly as waymarked by official Bunyan Way markers and have 24 hours to complete the full loop.
The course runs mainly through countryside, woodland and through small villages, using rural paths and open sections. Navigation is provided by the official waymarking along the Bunyan Trail. The event timetable and route are structured to combine self-sufficient sections with organised support.
Support on course includes seven fully stocked aid stations positioned around the route, a drop-bag service at one designated aid station, and medical support available on the route. Live tracking is provided for all participants for safety and spectator viewing. Finishers who complete the route within the time limit receive a bespoke event medal and a finishers' T-shirt.
