About the race
Pilgrim's Reckoning 2027 is an 81-mile circular ultra-running event on the historic Bunyan Trail in Bedfordshire. The route follows the official Bunyan Way markers around rural paths, villages and open countryside. Participants must complete the full loop within a 24 hour time limit. Navigation is fully waymarked using the official Bunyan Way markers.
The course includes seven fully stocked aid stations and a single designated drop-bag location. Medical support is provided on the route and live tracking is used for participant safety and spectator viewing. The event starts and finishes at Bedford Greenacres Independent School, Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7FZ. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal; a finishers' T-shirt is provided to those who complete the course within the time limit.
The event is organised by Thunder Races. Entry information lists an individual entry fee of £180.00 plus an £8.98 booking fee. All entries are non-refundable; deferral is allowed up to 28 days before the event subject to organiser terms. An instalment payment option is available with an additional fee per instalment.
