Phoenix: West Sussex - Festival of Running
Phoenix West Sussex's Festival of Running takes place at Blackland Farm, Grinstead Lane, East Grinstead on 24 and 25 July 2027. The event offers multiple timed formats over a one-mile lap course that is entirely off-road, running on grass and compact trail with an undulating profile, a tree-line grass alley, and a woodland section. Start and finish are located in the main camping field.
Race formats include solo timed events and team options: 24 hour solo, 12 hour solo, 8 hour solo, 7 hour Sunrise Run, 24 hour team relay (teams of 2 to 8), the P24 Challenge (one 1-mile lap each hour for 24 hours), and the P12 Challenge. Published entry fees vary by format and affiliation status; examples include the 24 hour solo (affiliated £107.95, unaffiliated £109.95) and the 12 hour solo (affiliated £77.95, unaffiliated £79.95). Team relay and challenge fees are listed per person, and shorter formats have lower published fees.
Camping is included with entry for pitch-your-own tents. A limited number of pre-pitched Bell Tents are available for £40 each, with an optional bed and mattress at £10 per person. All participants receive a bespoke finisher's medal; entries before 1 October are noted as qualifying for a 15% discount and a bespoke event t-shirt.
