About the race
Phoenix West Sussex Festival of Running takes place on 24 and 25 July 2027 at Blackland Farm, East Grinstead. The event uses a compact off road loop of 1 mile that runs from the main camping field along a tree lined grass alley, into a woodland section, and back. The surface is grass and compact trail with an undulating profile.
The festival offers multiple timed formats to suit different objectives. Options described by the organiser include solo timed runs over 24, 12 and 8 hours; team relays for teams of two to eight over 24 hours; the P24 and P12 challenges that require completing one 1 mile lap each hour for 24 or 12 hours respectively; and a shorter Sunrise Run on the final day. The 8 hour entry allows overnight camping.
Camping is included with entry for those who pitch their own tent. A limited number of pre pitched Bell Tents are available as an upgrade; each Bell Tent sleeps four and costs £40, with an optional bed and mattress at £10 per person. The organiser provides a bespoke finisher medal to all participants and notes a 15% discount and event t shirt for entries made before 1 October using the published code.
