Petzl Night Trails 10K - Coombe Abbey
The event is a night trail run at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry on 30 September 2026. The race distance is 10 km and participants must wear a head or chest torch to run; no torch, no run. The course runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields with exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and a few gates to navigate. The route is described as undulating rather than hilly.
Practical details include on-site parking that can cost up to £3 for 1–2 hours and a toilet block next to the event HQ. The venue is on the outskirts of Coventry and is about six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry. Organisers note an effective cut-off of two hours linked to medical cover and sunset.
Petzl may attend with demo head torches so entrants can test lamps, subject to confirmation. The event will provide biodegradable cups with water or electrolyte on course. Dogs are not permitted due to a narrow out and back section. Entry fees follow a tiered system: before 30/08/2026 £16, after 30/08/2026 £21, with unaffiliated entrants paying £2 extra. As an alternative to a medal, a tree token is offered which results in a tree being planted and includes wildflower seeds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
