Petzl Night Trails 10K - Coombe Abbey
This is a trail 10 km event held at Coombe Abbey Park, CV3 2AB, Coventry, on 30 September 2026. The route runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields and includes exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and several gates. The course is undulating but not hilly; underfoot conditions may be muddy, firm or hard depending on recent weather.
A head or chest torch is required for participation; entrants without an appropriate light will not be permitted to run. Petzl are listed as attending and may provide demo head torches for participants to try, subject to confirmation.
Entry uses tiered pricing: entries before 30/08/2026 cost £16 and entries after that date cost £21. Unaffiliated entrants pay an additional £2. No booking fee is charged. There is an option instead of a medal to receive a Big Bear Tree Token produced with Earth Runs; each token corresponds to a planted tree and contains wildflower seeds.
Facilities at the park include a toilet block near the event HQ and parking that may cost up to £3 for 1 to 2 hours. The nearest mainline rail station is Coventry and the park is about 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6. Dogs are not permitted on the course because of a narrow out-and-back section. Organisers provide biodegradable cups on course rather than running this event cupless. Medical cover establishes an effective two hour cut-off for completion.
