Perpetua Coast is a weekend trail running event staged in Yachats, Oregon, and the Cape Perpetua National Scenic Area on October 3-4, 2026. Courses run through the coastal village, rocky shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches, headland viewpoints, and temperate old growth rainforest. The location includes Cape Perpetua headland and nearby marine reserve.
Distances offered:
- 50K trail race
- 20 mile trail race
- Half marathon trail race
- 10K trail race
The event is staged at The Adobe Resort in Yachats. The registration fee covers a fully marked race course, staging venue and parking, chip timing and live results, full service aid stations, medical support and communications, post race food and beverages, custom finisher awards, and professional photography. Race shirts and hats are sold separately and are not included in the entry fee.
The 50K served as the rescheduled 2026 USATF 50K Trail National Championship, with a $12,000 prize purse for the top three men and top three women who are active USATF members and US citizens. Top three finishers in all distances receive complimentary entry to the next year’s Perpetua Coast.
The event operates under Special Use Permits from Siuslaw National Forest, Oregon State Parks, and other agencies. A land acknowledgement notes the traditional lands of the native Alsea peoples, who have inhabited the area for at least 6,000 years.
