Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Run
The PB18km Trail Run follows the Pennine Bridleway from Hayfield village to Rushup Edge and back. The route covers 18 km with a total ascent of 806 metres and passes through Peak District scenery, combining fast trails and sustained climbs.
The event uses a flexible start time window so participants may run solo or with friends. The route is self-navigating but route finding is straightforward with official Pennine Bridleway finger posts. Ranger Ultras provide Safety Team support at the event headquarters and on course.
The race is held as a spring season event under a Trail Running Association permit and England Athletics competition rules. Participants must be at least 20 years old on race day.
Included for competitors are navigation notes, on-course snacks, fruit and water, and hospitality at headquarters consisting of tea, coffee, soft drinks and pizza. Finishers receive eco-medals, and trophies are awarded to first male and first female finishers. The PB18 is also presented as a mini-recce opportunity for the Ranger Ultras PB270km event.
