Penn An Wlas
Penn An Wlas is a single lap multi terrain race held at Land's End. The course covers about 9.7 miles and follows sections of the Cornish coast path together with inland footpaths.
The route starts and finishes at the Lands End attraction and passes through Sennen Cove, Gwynver, then inland to Sennen, Bottoms and Polgigga before returning on the coast path at Nanjizal. The course includes trail, some road sections, grass and gravel tracks with a mix of hills and faster running sections.
Entries open on 1 March 2026. The entry fee is listed as £24.00 and all entries close two weeks before the event. Parking is available at the venue; local residents can park free if their vehicle is registered with the organiser.
A kit list is provided as advisory material and participants are warned that some footpaths are remote. All finishers receive an event medal and a free beer. Prizes are awarded for first to third female and male finishers, plus a team trophy and a "True Grit" award. An event guide, route information and risk assessments are available for further event details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
