Peak Raid Race 1 Hayfield

Peak Raid Race 1 Hayfield is a fell running score event held in Hayfield on 20 September 2026. The race takes place across Peak District hills, moors and dales and requires good route choice and navigation skills. Competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and point values and have three hours to visit controls and score as many points as possible; penalties apply for lateness.

This event is the first of a four-race series. Each race uses varied terrain ranging from high moorland that needs accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with a network of footpaths. Results for the series are based on competitors' best three scores.

Entries are open from 11 February 2026 and close on 17 September 2026. Entry fees are shown in three bands: Early Bird £20, Standard £22, Late £25; FRA members receive a £2 reduction. The minimum competitor age is 14. Competitors may enter solo or as pairs; pairs are placed in an age category determined by the oldest member. There are 15 competition categories including solo, pairs, and mixed pairs, plus a parent or guardian and under 18 category with specific age and guardian requirements.

Mandatory equipment follows FRA minimum kit and will be checked. Required items include waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, survival bag and emergency food. Dogs are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
