Paws in the Park 5K Run/Walk for the Foundation for the BAHS - Boone, IA
Paws in the Park is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at the Iowa Arboretum & Gardens, 1875 Peach Ave, Madrid, Iowa. The event is presented as a 5K run/walk that starts and finishes at the arboretum.
T-shirt and packet pickup take place at the Cafferty Building at the Iowa Arboretum. All pre-registered participants receive a T-shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after 10/04/26. Participants are free to begin the course on their own and may keep their own time.
Dogs are permitted. Each person may bring up to two dogs, and dogs will receive bandanas. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, remain under control at all times, and be on leashes no longer than six feet. Organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to aggressive dogs.
After the event there will be refreshments and snacks available for both people and dogs. Registration options listed include the 5K Run/Walk and a "Lazy Dog" option for those unable to attend. Published registration pricing shows $30.00 plus processing and taxes (displayed as $33.75) for the preregistration period Jun 25 to Oct 4, and $35.00 plus processing and taxes (displayed as $39.05) for Oct 5 to Oct 9.
