Gladiator Assault Challenge
The Gladiator Assault Challenge is an obstacle-course event held May 15 and 16, 2027 at Seven Oaks Recreation, 1086 222nd Drive, Boone, Iowa. The event stage includes a series of man-made and natural obstacles that require running, climbing, jumping, crawling, balancing, and sections through mud.
Distances offered at the event include:
- 5K
- 6 miles (Full Gladiator)
- Junior/Parent 5K
Registration information on listed entries shows an opening date of November 1, 2026 and sample entry fees of $59 for many heats and $69 for an Elite division. Sunday entries include special offers that list a $20 price for kids aged 9 to 14, an exclusive Gladiator wristband available only with a Sunday registration, and a promotion where the largest registered group or team receives one free drink, alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Participant items listed for finishers include a Finisher T-Shirt, Gladiator Medal, Finish Line Fruit, and one beer for participants 21 and over. Organizers note that within three weeks of the event they cannot guarantee a finisher shirt or medal; no-shows sometimes allow organizers to provide a shirt or medal on race day. The Elite division lists engraved Gladiator swords for first through third place in both men's and women's divisions.
