Patriotic Pursuit 5k, 10k and Half
The Patriotic Pursuit is a race event held on January 10, 2027 at Williamsport Park in Williamsport, Maryland. The course uses a flat, gravel section of the C&O Canal Trail alongside the river and highlights a scenic section of the canal.

- 5k out-and-back on the C&O Canal Trail
- 10k two laps of the 5k course
- Half marathon along the same trail section
The event is chip timed. Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal and a technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for entries completed before December 28. A virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person. Packet pickup is available at the event; there is no on-site race registration.
Water and aid details are provided for each distance: the half has limited water stations at approximately mile markers 0.5, 5.8, 7.2 and 12.6 and runners are encouraged to carry their own water; the 10k has five stations near miles 0.5, 2.6, 3.1, 3.6 and 5.7; the 5k has two stations near miles 0.5 and 2.6. Gatorade is available at some stations and station locations may change.
Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. Live results are posted during the race and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in multiple age groups; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
