OUTLAST PHILADELPHIA
OUTLAST Philadelphia is a six-hour trail endurance challenge held in Coatesville, PA. Participants run a 5K loop every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to continue; if a lap is missed the participant is removed from the event. Completing all six laps awards the OUTLAST medal.
Courses use natural trail terrain with dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Runners have time between laps to recover, refuel, and refocus. Each 5K is timed individually, and a runner's combined time for all six laps is used for local division results and placement on the national leaderboard.
Awards and recognition include patches for completing four and five laps, a premium OUTLAST tee for all participants, and a premium medal for six-lap finishers. The top male and female at each event are recognized by fastest combined 5K times. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events is crowned National Champion and receives a $1,000 cash prize.
The top five male and female 6-hour champions from each city earn a spot in the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027; championship prizes are $1,200 for first, $800 for second, and $500 for third. Aid at basecamp includes water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so participants are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Tent setups at basecamp are permitted. Walking is allowed if each loop is finished within the hour. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
