OUTLAST NASHVILLE
OUTLAST NASHVILLE is a trail endurance event held in Hermitage, TN at 2910 Hobson Pike. The event runs on a repeating 5K loop; participants must complete one 5K each hour to remain in the challenge. The format offers two event options based on the number of hourly laps.
Each course is trail-based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable underfoot conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Runners have time between laps to recover, refuel, and prepare for the next hourly 5K. If a lap is not finished within the hour, the participant is removed from further laps.
Distances:
- 18 Miles - 6 Hour Challenge
- 36 Miles - Outlast ULTRA - 12 Hour Challenge
Awards and services include tiered recognition for partial finishes: 4 laps earns a "Grit Earned" patch, 5 laps earns a "Survivor" patch, 6 laps earns a premium OUTLAST 6-inch medal, and 12 laps earns a premium OUTLAST 12-inch medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Top male and female finishers by combined 5K times win local awards and are listed on a national leaderboard. The fastest competitor across all OUTLAST 6-hour events receives a $1,000 national prize. Top 5 male and female 6-hour champions from each city earn a spot in the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where additional cash prizes are awarded.
Aid at basecamp/loop start includes water, basic hydration, and snacks; the event is cupless, so participants are expected to carry their own hydration. Tents and personal aid setups are permitted. Each 5K is timed individually and combined times are used for rankings when all required laps are completed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
