The Murder Mile Halloween Horror
The Murder Mile Halloween Horror is a Halloween-themed night trail running event in Franklin, TN on October 31, 2026. The event features a roughly 1.1-mile haunted loop on private land about 20 minutes from Downtown Franklin. The loop is on an old logging road with wide double-track, two steep, straight climbs without switchbacks, runnable sections between them, and a downhill field section returning to the start and finish area. Each loop includes about 340 feet of elevation gain.
The event offers a Haunted Half and a Sinister Six format and includes trick-or-treat stations on each lap. Participants draw from a Bag of Tricks on the “Trick” side and must perform the drawn twist for that lap; the “Treat” side offers candy and other items. Costumes are encouraged and may be required. Laps are tracked with a clothes-pin system. Coyotes have been reported in the area.
Important policies: no pets are allowed on site. There are no refunds or deferrals; proceeds are used to cover event costs and to support property maintenance. If dangerous weather is forecast, organizers may reschedule to the prior night. Awards are planned for the top three finishers in male and female categories.
