The Murder Mile Halloween Horror
The Murder Mile Halloween Horror is a Halloween night trail event in Franklin, TN on October 31, 2026. The event takes place on private land about 20 minutes from Downtown Franklin, at 9600 Big East Fork Rd, and is described as a haunted, looped trail experience.
The course uses a roughly 1-mile loop with about 340 feet of elevation gain per loop. The surface is an old logging road with a wide double-track. Each loop includes two steep climbs with runnable sections between them and an easy downhill through a field toward the start/finish area.
The event features themed elements on the course, including decorated sections, eerie sound and light effects, and trick-or-treat stations on each lap. Participants draw from a Bag of Tricks each time around; whatever is drawn must be performed and may alter the next lap. Costumes are encouraged and may be required. Laps are tracked with a clothes-pin system. The organizers note coyotes have been seen in the area.
Practical rules and policies include a strict no pets policy, no refunds or deferrals, and possible rescheduling to the prior night if dangerous weather is forecast. Registration closes on October 30 at 11:59 PM CT. Awards are given to the top three finishers in male and female categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
