Ouse Valley Way Races

The Ouse Valley Way Races are annual events organized by BRJ Run & Tri, taking place in the county of Huntingdonshire. The course follows a scenic route along and near the river, utilizing the Ouse Valley Way. Participants run on a variety of surfaces, including a mix of grass, gravel, and tarmac paths. These events are officially classed as trail races, registered with the Trail Running Association and insured under England Athletics.

The event offers two distinct distances:

  • Marathon: A 26.2 mile point-to-point route starting in Eynesbury and finishing in Earith.
  • Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile point-to-point route starting in Godmanchester and finishing in Earith.

Both courses are notable for being exceptionally flat. The marathon route features a total of 13 metres of elevation gain, while the half marathon route includes only 9 metres of elevation gain. Due to the nature of the distances and the course, specific age requirements are in place. The minimum age for entry is 17 for the half marathon and 18 for the full marathon.

The registration fees differ based on the distance selected and the runner's affiliation. Runners registered with England Athletics receive a discount on their entry fee. Race instructions and digital route files are provided to help participants navigate the trail segments along the river. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
