About the race
The Orange Dirt Trail Series is a trail running event held at Lake McMurtry East Pavilion in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 17, 2026. Courses start and finish near the East Pavilion and use the park trail network in out-and-back formats.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles): Yellow Trail
- 10K (6.2 miles): Yellow Trail
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles): Yellow Trail and Red Trail
- Marathon (26.2 miles): Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue Trails
Registration opens July 2, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. Fees listed by distance are $40 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, $60 for the half marathon, and $70 for the marathon. Registration includes a finisher's medal and refreshments during the post-race celebration. Register by September 30 to guarantee a t-shirt size.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Stonecloud Stillwater Patio & Taproom and on event day at Lake McMurtry East Pavilion. Final course maps and aid station locations will be emailed the Monday prior to race weekend. Aid stations and finish line support are provided on race day.
The event is chip timed. Participants are asked to wear their race bib on the front of the body as instructed in the race packet.
Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in female, non-binary, and male categories. Awards must be picked up after the race and will not be mailed.
Camping at Lake McMurtry and a preferred hotel option in Stillwater are available; reservations are required through Lake McMurtry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
