OC Trail Runners Group Run in Newport Coast
This is a free, social and non-competitive trail group run held at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park in Newport Beach. The meeting location is in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park, 20403 East Coastal Peak, Newport Coast, near the intersection of East Coastal Peak and Ridge Park Road.
The planned route for this meeting is approximately 6.5 miles with about 1,165 feet of vertical gain. The course is hilly and includes steep uphill sections and challenging rocky downhills. Routes vary between meetings and the route for this session is subject to change due to occasional intermittent park closures.
Participants are expected to have some trail running experience and to be comfortable on uneven and steep terrain. The event provides complimentary snacks after the run and includes a raffle drawing.
