Central Park Invitational Open Race
The Central Park Invitational Open Race is an open 3-mile event held at Huntington Beach Central Park, 6700 Central Park Drive, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. The course follows the official Sunset Conference three-mile cross country route and includes grass, dirt, asphalt, hills, and a loop around the park lake. The layout allows for spectator viewing around multiple parts of the course.
Entry for the open race carries a $25 fee. Online registration opens July 21, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Bibs and timing chips are provided with registration. Electronic timing and live results are provided by Finished Results. Medals are available for multiple age and gender categories, including boys and girls and men and women.
Parking is available at Huntington Beach Central Park with access from Edwards Street on the west side; additional parking for buses and cars is available via Ellis Avenue near Goldenwest Street. Participants and visitors are asked to avoid walking through the Equestrian Center to reach the park. After the open race, high school teams compete on the same course.
