Northern Cross Country Relays Championship 2026

The Northern Cross Country Relays Championship takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 at Graves Park Pavilion, Cobnar Road, Norton Lees, Sheffield S8 8QA. The event incorporates the Cutler's Relay and the South Yorkshire Cross Country Relay Championships and is held under UKA rules Licence No CC26/1978.

Races and distances include:

• Under 18 Women 3 x 2300 metres aged 16 or 17 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 18 Men 3 x 2300 metres aged 16 or 17 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 12 Girls 3 x 1500 metres aged 10 and 11 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 12 Boys 3 x 1500 metres aged 10 and 11 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 14 Girls 3 x 1800 metres aged 12 or 13 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 14 Boys 3 x 1800 metres aged 12 or 13 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 16 Girls 3 x 2000 metres aged 14 or 15 on 31 Aug 2027
• Under 16 Boys 3 x 2000 metres aged 14 or 15 on 31 Aug 2027
• Senior Women 3 x 2 miles aged 18 and over on 31 Aug 2027
• Senior Men 4 x 2 miles aged 18 and over on 31 Aug 2027

Entry and team rules require clubs to be affiliated to both Northern Athletics and England Athletics. Team members must be first claim members and registered with England Athletics. Foreign athletes must be registered with UKA as foreign athletes and only two may run in each declared team. Clubs may submit up to nine names per three stage team and up to twelve names per four stage team. Closing date for entries is 11 October 2026 and eligible athletes must be declared by 12 October 2026. Team declarations and changes are handled online only up to 12:00 on the day via a personalised link; there are no facilities for declarations at registration.

Club colours and matching vests or crop tops must be worn. Medals are awarded in Northern and South Yorkshire championship categories with specific rules for A and B teams and fastest lap awards.
