North End Trail Run/Walk
The North End Trail Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the North End Trailhead, 41640 Randysek Rd., Cable, Wisconsin, about two miles south of downtown Cable. The event offers three distances on trail terrain.

- Half Marathon
The course uses the CAMBA Ojibwe mountain bike trail and some North End Ski Trails. Terrain is mostly narrow, twisting single track with regular technical features such as rocks and roots. The route passes through rolling and varied terrain into the Bayfield County Forest across different forest types, with only a few longer sustained hills.
There will be water and energy on the course; participants are advised to plan to carry their own container. Registration is available online and by mail; there is no day of registration. Mail-in entries must be received by May 19 to be guaranteed a full goodie bag. Online registration closes May 22, 2026.
Entry fees are stated as $35 for the listed distances. Children under age 12 have two options: a reduced fee with a goodie bag or a free entry without a goodie bag. Bib pickup is arranged at the North End cabin prior to the event.
Awards include overall men’s and women’s placements in each race and first place in each 10 year age group. All participants receive a loaf of homemade bread and a jar of homemade jam as event perks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
