Nobody Walks Alone 5K
The Nobody Walks Alone 5K is a nationwide series of community 5K events held on September 13, 2026, hosted by the COMMIT Foundation. The series aims to raise funds to support the foundation's work empowering individuals with purpose, identity, and connection.
Local gatherings are organized in multiple cities and as a virtual option. On-site meeting locations include Jetton Park in Cornelius near Charlotte, the Northaven Trail Inwood Parking Lot in Dallas, Mountain's Edge Regional Park in Las Vegas, Hempstead Lake State Park in West Hempstead for a scenic 5K loop around lake and ponds, Balneario de Culebra (Flamenco Beach) in Puerto Rico, Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach with on-site vendors such as Hall Honda and Mello Beans, the C&O Canal Towpath at Fletcher's Cove in Washington, DC on a flat packed earth and gravel out-and-back, Color Mountain Biking Preserve in Bentonville with a concrete path and an out-and-back route that gains about 90 feet, and the Wrightsville Beach Park Recreation Center in Wilmington near a 2.5 mile loop. A virtual 5K option lets participants choose the date and place for their 5K and share photos with the community.
Events are participant-led gatherings on public property at the listed locations, and some sites note local rules such as leashed dogs on trails and restrictions for recreation buildings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
