NMTC Fall Series
The NMTC Fall Series is a set of nine short-distance trail races held across the Twin Ports from August to October 2026. Events take place on woodland singletrack trails, with midweek races held on Wednesday evenings early in the season and later races moved to Sunday afternoons as daylight shortens. Entry for the series is free; donations are accepted online or at the race start. The final race includes a potluck and prizes for all participants.
The series features courses in varied terrain and distances ranging from 6 to 11 km. One course example is Lester Park, a 10.5 km lollipop route that begins near the lower parking lot accessed from Lester River Road. That course uses ski loop B for three laps before returning to the start and is described as moderately technical and hilly with occasional loose rocks. Trails at Lester Park are wide in places, which can make passing easier. A playground is located at the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
