NMTC Fall Series
The NMTC Fall Series is a set of nine short-distance trail races held across the Twin Ports from August to October 2026. Distances range from 6 to 11 km and the courses showcase many of the area’s woodland singletrack trails.
Races begin on Wednesday evenings early in the series and move to Sunday afternoons later in the season as daylight shortens. The final race is followed by a potluck and prizes for all participants.
Entry to the series is free. Donations are welcome either online or at the race start.
One example course is the Pine Valley loop in Cloquet. That route is a quick approximately 5 km loop on the ski trails at Pine Valley ski area, featuring wide, grassy, non-technical track with rolling hills. This event is noted as the last Wednesday night race of the season, and slower runners on evening races may experience dwindling light as nights grow earlier.
