About the race

The 3rd National Solidarity Run is a community event at the Sport Ireland campus that invites participants to run, jog or walk 5 km to mark solidarity, diversity and inclusion. The event is organised by Sanctuary Runners and aligned with the European Council Presidency, with partners including Irish Aid, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the European Commission, the Ireland Funds, Sport Ireland and Athletics Ireland.

This is a non chip timed event; the emphasis is on participation and the cross-country setting rather than race results. A Sanctuary Runners t-shirt is included and will be available for collection on the day. The organisers note that music and craic will be provided.

Practical details stated by the organiser: the course is not buggy or wheelchair friendly; registration is for adults only while children are welcome if accompanied by an adult; the event fee covers event expenses and the t-shirt; and parking and additional day-of details will be communicated later. Ticketing information lists a general admission fee of €10 and complimentary access by invitation with an access code. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
