About the race
The Myrtle Beach 24 Hour is a timed endurance run held January 23–24, 2027 in The Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event uses a USATF‑certified 1.0806 mile paved loop (Certification SC25016JK) with the start/finish near 1119 Farrow Parkway, across from Valor Memorial Garden. The loop remains open to the public on race day; directional signs and portapotties will be on course. Timing is by chip and bibs should be worn on the front of the body.
A live leaderboard will display real‑time results. An aid station at the start/finish will offer typical ultra food, water, electrolyte drinks and hot food. Pacers are permitted one at a time after 3 p.m.; all pacers must sign a waiver and wear a pacer bib available at the aid station. Awards include a buckle for anyone completing 100 miles or more and medals for shorter distances.
Prize money for 2027 is awarded to the top three men and top three women: $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $300 for third (checks mailed after the race). Runners who cover more than 109.4830 miles will receive a commemorative sticker; the distance required for that sticker may change. Event facilities include a designated tent city (10x10 canopies only, grassy area northwest of Farrow Parkway and Nevers Street), limited power outlets, and nearby parking including a lot at the end of Forbus Ct and on‑street spaces.
