Pier to Pier Beach Run
The Pier to Pier Beach Run is a beach running event that uses the shoreline near Springmaid Pier and the Myrtle Beach State Park Pier. The course goes out to a turnaround located 1.55 miles from the start. All race start and finish lines are near Springmaid Pier.
Distances offered:
- 5K race along the beach between the piers
- 1 mile untimed fun run on the beach
All 5K finishers receive a custom finisher’s medal and a T shirt. The fun run also includes a commemorative T shirt. Registration prior to January 15, 2027 guarantees shirt size for the 5K; registration prior to March 20, 2027 guarantees shirt size for the fun run. After those dates shirt size cannot be guaranteed.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at multiple locations and times the day before and the morning of the event, including sites in Conway and at the race site. Parking is available at the Nash Street Public Beach Access at 3201 Nash Street, Myrtle Beach, SC. Additional parking will be arranged with nearby facilities and Coastal RTA shuttles if needed.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female 1st through 3rd place and age division awards based on net gun time. Winners must be present to receive awards; awards are not mailed. Horry County employees pay the stated enrollment fee and will be reimbursed after the 5K; fun run registrants are not eligible for reimbursement or related PTO.
