Mountain Tiger Diablo
Mountain Tiger Diablo is scheduled for October 10, 2026 in Clayton, CA. The event is a 12.4 mile loop that climbs to the Mount Diablo summit and returns to the Mitchell Canyon visitor area.
The course follows the most direct route to the summit with a short spur on Summit Trail. Runners climb about 1,700 feet in the first 2.5 miles via Eagle Peak, then continue up Bald Ridge Trail to the summit. The return descent drops roughly 4,000 feet over about 6 miles via Prospector's Gap and Back Creek Trail, finishing at Mitchell Canyon. Total climbing and descending is approximately 4,000 feet. The race uses a loop format and has a five hour cutoff.
Entry is $95 plus fees. Entry includes group shuttle transportation between an off-site parking area and the start/finish area, a post-race raffle entry, and a unique finisher's item. The shuttle ride from the off-site parking area is described as a five minute bus ride. The event notes a no refund policy with rollovers to 2027 available until September 1.
