Mountain Laurel 5K Run
The Mountain Laurel 5K is a community 5K run and walk held as part of the Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival at Laurel Hill State Park in Somerset, PA. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Laurel Hill and organized to support projects within the park.
The course follows a well maintained pedestrian and bike path through shaded woods, running alongside Jones Mill Run and Laurel Hill Lake. The event permits dogs and is presented as a run/walk for participants wishing to enjoy the park setting. A course map and a registration form are provided for participants.
The Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival spans two days and includes six bands, artisans, food vendors, children’s activities, and wagon rides. The festival is presented without an admission fee and takes place on August 15 and 16, 2026. Proceeds from the Mountain Laurel 5K contribute to park projects managed by the sponsoring organization.
