Moray Way 100

The Moray Way 100 is a point-to-point trail covering about 100 miles, beginning and ending at Grant Park in Forres. The route follows coastal paths, forest tracks and established long-distance routes through Moray and Speyside.

The course heads from Forres along the High Street and across the A96 toward Findhorn. Runners pass Kinloss Barracks and a local bay nature reserve before the coastal trail begins. The route continues over dunes into Roseisle Forest, reaches Burghead, then follows a tarred path after Burghead Distillery to Hopeman. From Hopeman to Covesea there are clifftop trails; at low tide the route runs along the beach past the lighthouse to Lossiemouth, which is aid station 1.

From Lossiemouth the route goes through Lossie Forest, returns to the beach near Kingston, runs beside Garmouth & Kingston Golf Course, crosses the railway bridge and proceeds south to Fochabers, aid station 2. The route then passes Boat O' Brig, climbs Ben Aigen and descends into Craigellachie. Following the Speyside Way toward Aberlour and Grantown-on-Spey, it passes several distilleries; aid station 3 is in this area. At Grantown aid station 4, the route joins the Dava Way for the final stretch back to Forres.

A relay option divides the course into 12 sections for teams to share the distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
