Moray Way 100

The Moray Way 100 is a 100 miles ultra trail that starts and finishes in Forres. The route follows the Moray Coastal Trail, continues along the Speyside Way and returns on the Dava Way to complete the full distance. The course passes coastal sections and forests, sections along clifftop trails and beaches, and inland tracks through Speyside.

Key locations on the route include Findhorn, Kinloss Barracks, Roseisle Forest, Burghead, Hopeman, Covesea, Lossiemouth, Kingston, Garmouth, Fochabers, Ben Aigen, Craigellachie, Aberlour and Grantown on Spey. Lossiemouth is listed as aid station 1, Fochabers as aid station 2, the Speyside area including Aberlour as aid station 3, and Grantown as aid station 4. The route includes a newly built Lossiemouth Bridge and a section described as 5km from hell to Kingston.

Entries are limited to 100 competitors and the entry fee is £120. The race has a 30 hour cutoff. Competitors must be at least 18 years old and have experience with ultra distance running; the event is described as predominantly runnable but mainly self-sufficient. Organisers will provide GPX files and an official race handbook to competitors before the race.
