Montana Meltdown
Montana Meltdown is a fixed-time running event held at Gallatin Valley Regional Park in Bozeman, Montana. Races use a 1.5-mile loop course where participants accumulate distance over set time periods.
Event formats include:
- 24 hours timed event on a 1.5-mile loop.
- 12 hours timed event on a 1.5-mile loop.
- 4 hours timed event on a 1.5-mile loop.
There is one aid station passed every 1.5 miles offering typical ultra food with vegan and gluten-free options as needed. Runners may receive crew support each lap; a designated area adjacent to the course is available for camping. Packet pickup is available at the Start/Finish area on race day, and timing chips must be collected before the race start.
Parking is described as extremely limited; the course is near local hotels and an Oak Street lot is listed as an alternative parking area. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in each race, and all participants receive finisher swag. Online registration closes in late September. Entry pricing is shown within the listed price range. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
