Monster Colour 5k Calgary

Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 19, 2026 at North Glenmore Park, 7305 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary T3E 5N5. The event combines a 5 km course with a post-run colour festival. Inflatable monsters line the route and there are multiple colour powder stations, bubble stations, and music throughout the course. The finish area features a music festival atmosphere with a DJ, merchandise stalls, and other entertainment.

The run uses staggered start waves at ten-minute intervals and starts and finishes by Parking Lot A. Parking in and around the park is free but limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Race kit pick up is only available on event day; kits are not shipped and there is no pre-event pickup.

Participant rules and amenities include wristbands to identify participants, volunteers available on course, and air-blowers for cleanup after the colour stations. Wheelchairs, strollers, and pushchairs are permitted but the terrain may vary and include hills, roads, pathways, grass, and unpaved trails. Participants aged eight and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. Children five and under may attend without registering for the 5k but will not receive finisher items unless a kids pack is purchased.

Ticket types advertised include a festival ticket, a Monster 5k ticket, and a Little Monsters option for young children. Day-of ticket purchases are available at higher prices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
