Mohican Trail Run (MO 100)
The Mohican Trail Run is a multi-distance trail event held in the Mohican Memorial State Forest. The 2027 edition is scheduled for June 5–6, 2027, with packet pickup on Friday, June 4. The event includes looped courses through a roughly 5,000-acre forest and offers multiple distance options.
Distances
- 100-mile
- 50-mile
- Marathon
The 100-mile race has a final cutoff of 32 hours. There is no separate cutoff for the 50-mile or marathon beyond the 100-mile aid station schedule, which allows slower participants to hike sections of the course. Aid stations are located approximately every 5 miles and are stocked with beverages and food such as Coke, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Mountain Dew, ramen, vegetable broth, potato chips, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, clementines, individually bagged cookies, instant coffee, iodized salt, M&Ms, trail mix, honey, Hammer Heed electrolyte, and Hammer gels.
Drop bags are permitted for 50-mile and 100-mile runners only at two designated stations: Covered Bridge (C) and Mohican Adventures (E); bags must be clearly labeled with the race number and aid station letter. The race uses reflective Mohican markers, arrows, orange stick flags, and lime ground arrows; the course is checked and re-marked as needed. Course maps and GPX files and a detailed course description are provided for competitors. Top finishers in each distance receive cash prizes and complimentary future entries; finishers receive distance-specific medals and buckles for repeated completions.
