Mo Spring
Mo Spring takes place on April 24, 2027, at Mohican State Park, with the course beginning and ending at the Mohican State Park Lodge in Perrysville, Ohio.
The event includes the following distances:
- Mo Spring Marathon
- Mo Spring Half Marathon
- Mo Spring 15k
Races use park trails that include rugged terrain and hills. The event description notes that seasoned runners, enthusiastic beginners, and hikers will encounter trail conditions that require appropriate footwear and pacing.
The setting highlights Mohican’s spring environment: budding trees, spring flowers, ferns, mosses, and habitat for wildlife and songbirds. A notable landmark on the routes is the Clearfork Gorge, a Registered National Natural Landmark more than 300 feet deep, surrounded by hemlocks and old-growth white pines. Other visible park features include a covered bridge, a fire tower, and Lyons Falls.
All participants receive event swag listed for the year, which includes a triblend tee and a finisher medal. The event is produced by Western Reserve Racing, an organization that runs road and trail events in Northeast Ohio and organizes a regional endurance series with qualifying and series awards.
