Mogadishu Mile Kentucky
The Mogadishu Mile Kentucky on October 3, 2026 takes place at Queenslake Horse Farm in Georgetown, Kentucky. The event centers on a 1.8-mile military-style obstacle challenge across a 140-acre farm that includes a 40-acre lake and 19 permanent memorial stations along a limestone wall.
The course features physical tasks such as tire flips, heavy medicine ball slams, plyometric box jumps, battle ropes, hay bale carries, burpees, heavy chain drags, ammo can carries and a natural water crossing, plus wooded trail running. Competitors may enter individually or as teams. A Ruck Division requires carrying a 35-pound pack; rucking without entering that division is encouraged but not required. Teams can participate in divisions that include carrying weighted M16 replicas.
A three-part tribute ceremony precedes the challenge and includes a bagpiper, a Friesian horse procession and a reading of the names of the 19 fallen soldiers. The course passes 19 plaques where participants pause to read biographies and speak each name. After the challenge, a lakeside music festival features performances by military veteran musicians and other live sets. Participant amenities listed for the event include on-site tattoos, laser treatments, massages, food and beverage, and bourbon tastings.
Proceeds and voluntary donations support the Three Rangers Foundation and the Night Stalkers Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
