About the race
The Miwok 100K presented by The North Face is a trail ultramarathon held in Stinson Beach, California, routed through the Marin Headlands north of San Francisco. The full course covers 62 miles with more than 11,000 feet of elevation gain and includes redwood forests, exposed ridgelines, and coastal cliffs.
The event offers multiple entry options:
- Individual 100K, 62 miles, single-run course
- Relay teams, limited to 20 teams of 4, legs split over the full course
Relay legs:
- Leg 1: Start to Tennessee Valley, 26 miles
- Leg 2: Tennessee Valley to Cardiac, 9.5 miles
- Leg 3: Cardiac to Randall, 14 miles
- Leg 4: Randall to Finish, 13 miles
Field size is limited to 400 runners and the race enforces a time limit of 15 hours and 30 minutes with intermediate cutoffs. The event is a Western States 100 qualifying race for 2028 and a UTMB 2028 Index race. Limited fundraising entries include a 16-week training plan starting January 11, 2027, with proceeds supporting community partners.
The race operates as a cup-less, low-waste event and partners with organizations focused on land stewardship and diversity in trail running.
