Mile Madness at Brookvale is a timed loop event held at Brookvale Alpine Ski Park on October 31, 2026. Participants complete repeated laps of a predetermined loop that is roughly one mile in length, aiming to cover as many loops as possible within a set time limit. Race categories are time-based and include:
- 1 hour
- 2 hours
- 4 hours
The loop includes an uphill section with approximately 60 to 70 m of elevation gain. Direction on the course will change every 30 minutes so runners do not follow the same direction for the entire duration. An aid station is located at the start/finish area.
The event is organized under the PEI Roadrunners Club, whose mandate is to promote the sport of running on Prince Edward Island and to encourage an active lifestyle. Proceeds from most races sanctioned by the club go to charities, sporting organizations and other community causes. Costumes are encouraged on the event date.
