Miami Backyard Ultra
Miami Backyard Ultra is a Backyard Ultra event held on December 19, 2026 at Miami Marine Stadium / Virginia Key in Key Biscayne, Florida. The course consists of a repeated loop described as one 4.167-mile yard each hour.
Runners must complete each yard in less than one hour and rejoin the field at the next hourly bell. There are no late starts, skipped yards, pacers, or personal aid allowed during a yard. The winner is the runner who completes one more yard than every other competitor; all other participants are recorded as DNF with their number of completed yards as the official result.
The field is limited to 500 runners. Registration opens September 11, 2026 and closes December 14, 2026; the registration fee is $249.00. Details on parking, packet pickup, basecamp, crew access and aid procedures will be published in the Athlete Guide before race weekend. Participant award details will be provided later.
