MammothMarch Wisconsin 2027

MammothMarch Wisconsin is a two-day hiking event held on Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27, 2027, in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. The start and finish location is Long Lake Recreation Area, N3450 Division Rd, Cascade, WI 53011, less than an hour north of Milwaukee.

The event offers two single-circuit distances:

  • 20 miles single-circuit loop, around 900 ft total elevation gain.
  • 30 miles single-circuit loop, around 1,500 ft total elevation gain.

Routes combine paved and unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads, and forest floor, and will be published about two weeks before the event. Aid and refreshment stations are placed approximately every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, bars, sandwiches and other food. There is no formal timekeeping; participants who complete a distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who stop early receive a certificate stating the mileage covered. MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be available for new participants; returning participants may bring existing passes to collect 2027 stamps.

Complimentary parking is available on site. Lodging and accommodation details will be provided later. Merchandise is available through the event store and the official MammothMarch online shop, with differing fulfillment options depending on where items are ordered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
