Maine Summit Trek for Tree
The Maine Summit Trek for Tree is a fundraising community hike at Lost Valley in Auburn, Maine, benefitting Tree Street Youth. The event invites participants to summit Lost Valley as many times as possible within a four hour window, tracking both individual and collective laps.
The event highlights an Endurance Hiking Challenge that runs during the four hour period. Endurance Challengers may run, hike, or walk the Access Road to reach the peak and may return to the base via the chair lift or by descending the same path. Each lap on the Access Road is approximately 1/2 mile with about 200' of elevation gain.
Registration for the Endurance Hike is free. Endurance Hikers are asked to fundraise any amount to support event costs and Tree Street Youth programming; there is no minimum fundraising requirement and all funds support the organization. The day concludes with an awards celebration that recognizes achievements such as most laps and most funds raised.
