Maine Summit Trek for Tree 2026
The Maine Summit Trek for Tree is a fundraising community event at Lost Valley in Auburn, Maine that benefits Tree Street Youth. The event asks participants to climb Lost Valley as many times as possible during a four-hour window, tracking both individual and collective totals against the elevation of Maine 4k peaks.
A featured format is the Endurance Hiking Challenge. Challengers use the Access Road to reach the peak, then descend either by chair lift or by the same path. Each lap is approximately 1/2 mile with about 200' of gain. Participants may repeat laps to accumulate elevation and laps over the four-hour period.
There is no registration fee for Endurance Hikers. Participants are asked to fundraise any amount to support event costs and Tree Street Youth programming; there is no minimum fundraising requirement. Fundraising can be structured by seeking sponsors who pledge an amount per successful lap. The day concludes with an awards celebration that recognizes achievements such as most laps and most funds raised, among other categories.
