Madibaz George Forest Run 2026
The Madibaz George Forest Run is scheduled for 5 September 2026 at Nelson Mandela University - George Campus in George Municipality, Western Cape. The event is organised by Madibaz Sport and offers multiple timed running distances on mixed surfaces through forested areas.
Distances:
- 21.1 km (16 years and older, R130)
- 10 km (14 years and older, R110)
- 5 km (9 years and older, R50)
The course uses paved road and undulating gravel through the forest. Distance markers are placed at each kilometre. Water stations are provided at roughly 3 km intervals and additional refreshments will be available at the start and finish. Toilets will be available at the start and finish; there are no shower facilities.
Entries can be submitted online or manually at Sportsmans Warehouse and Top Gear; late entries attract a R20 premium and there are no race-day entries. Race numbers include an attached timing chip that must be fixed to the front of the running vest or t-shirt; no chip means no time.
The event is held under ASA and ASWD rules. Club athletes must wear official club colours and display ASA license numbers. Temporary licensed athletes must produce proof of age and display category tags to qualify for prizes. Prize money is equal for men and women and medals are awarded to finishers within the event cut-off times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
