Madibaz George Forest Run 2026
The Madibaz George Forest Run is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026 at the Nelson Mandela University George Campus in George Municipality, Western Cape. The event offers trail and road running along paved road and undulating gravel through the forest, with distance markers at every kilometre and refreshment tables approximately every 3 km.
Available race distances include:
- 21.1 km half marathon distance on mixed surfaces.
- 10 km forest run on paved and gravel roads.
- 5 km fun run/walk route.
Entries are accepted via pre-entry and late-entry windows; pre-entries close Wednesday, 2 September 2026 and late entries close Friday, 4 September 2026 with a R20 premium. No race-day entries are permitted. Race numbers and timing chips are provided in the race envelope; the timing chip must be attached to the front of the running vest or t-shirt. Temporary licensed athletes must show proof of age to qualify for age-category prizes.
Prize categories are offered for men and women with equal prize money for the 21.1 km event, and prizes across age groups for both the 21.1 km and 10 km races. Toilets are available at the start and finish area; no shower facilities are provided. Earphones, headsets, and animals are not permitted.
