Lyme Half Marathon

The Lyme Half Marathon is a trail race held within the grounds of Lyme National Trust in Disley, Stockport SK12 2NR. The event fee for the half marathon is £36 and includes parking and entry to the park and gardens for the day.

The route starts near Lyme Hall and follows the Gritstone Trail south over varied terrain, then traverses Kerridge Ridge passing the White Nancy landmark before reaching Bollington. Runners then join the Macclesfield Canal for a flatter section returning toward Lyme. The course is fully marked and marshalled and includes two well stocked aid stations. Electronic timing and on-course photographers are provided. A bespoke finisher medal is presented at the finish, or participants can choose to have a tree planted instead through the Trees Not Tees scheme.

Practical arrangements include a bag drop at the start line and bib collection from the event registration tent on the morning of the race. Hydration vests and handheld soft flasks are permitted. Runners are advised to carry suitable clothing for changeable conditions and to download the GPX file of the route onto a watch or mobile device as arrows can be tampered with. Canicross entries are not accepted. The published cut off time for the half marathon is four hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
