PHASE ONE//THE LAST ONE
Located at the Phase One training grounds in Spokane, Washington, this event follows a Last One Standing format. Participants must complete a 4 mile route every hour, on the hour. The competition continues until only one runner remains. A participant's challenge concludes if they fail to finish the distance within the hour or if they choose to withdraw by notifying the event staff.
The course consists of a 1.56 mile loop that runners complete twice, plus an additional out-and-back section to reach the 4 mile total. Each 1.56 mile loop features approximately 80 feet of elevation gain and loss, including a notable hill that runners encounter three times per hour. Pacers are not permitted for this event.
There is one semi-stocked aid station providing water, liquid nutrition, energy gels, protein bars, and various snacks. However, runners are encouraged to be self-sufficient and bring their own food, water, electrolytes, and headlamps.
Participants may stage gear and tents along the start line beginning the evening before the race. Personal vehicles have a designated parking area near the portable toilets. All entrants receive a training tee upon registration and a patch after completing their participation in the challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
