Lobo Cancer Challenge
The Lobo Cancer Challenge is an annual community fundraiser held in September at the UNM Lobo Football Stadium in Albuquerque, NM. The event raises funds for the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center and supports programs in patient treatment and support, advanced cancer research, community outreach, and education and training. Event sponsors enable 100 percent of fundraising dollars raised by participants to go directly to the program choices selected by those fundraisers.
Event day features a variety of on-site activities and participation options, including a Virtual Challenger option, sponsor booths in a Participant Village and a Wellness Village, and games and activities on the stadium field. The event highlights programs such as patient and family support services and the CURE program for training future scientists.
