Livingston Oval Ultra
The Livingston Oval Ultra is a timed loop running event held at the Oval on Robert Harp Drive in Livingston, NJ. Runners try to complete as many laps as possible within set time limits on a USATF certified course (certified August 1, 2023). The course is described as fast and flat.
The event is in its fourth annual edition. It uses a simple format: competitors measure distance by laps completed in a given time period. Organizers request prior notice for any attempt to set a state or national record so performances can be certified; the event hosted a Canadian national record in 2026.

- 12-hour event
- 6-hour event
- 3-hour event
- 1-hour event
Top three male and female finishers in each race receive a custom wall plaque. Participants receive either a running-style ball cap or a winter knit hat; a discount option is available for those who decline the hat. Aid station provisions include typical ultra food and some additional items from sponsors, and athletes are reported to be no more than half a mile from assistance. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the runner.
The event was approved by the Livingston Town Council in June 2023. The Gazebo Field opens before the first event and closes after the last event; athletes may reserve a 12' x 12' space for tents, chairs, and coolers and must clean up their site.
