Little Pine 5-Miler

The Little Pine 5-Miler is a trail running event held in Waterville, Pennsylvania, within the grounds of Little Pine State Park. Organized by the PA Trail Dogs, the race takes place on the Lakeshore Trail loop. While the event is named a 5-miler, the actual distance is approximately 5.5 miles, depending on the final placement of the start and finish lines.

Participants follow a course designed for trail running and hiking. The event is held in coordination with the Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest. Registration is available for general participants, with a specific category provided for runners aged 14 and under. All participants who register before the deadline receive a long-sleeve shirt.

Post-race activities are held at the pavilion near the lake. The organizers provide food and refreshments for participants after they complete the course, including pizza, snacks, and various drinks.

The available race distances include:

  • 5.5 miles (Regular registration)
  • 5.5 miles (Participants aged 14 and under)

Registration for the event closes in mid-October. The race base is located at 4205 Little Pine Creek Road, utilizing the natural terrain and trail systems of the state park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
