Little Colorado - Vertical Trail Race
Little Colorado is a hill-climbing event held at Brandywine Ski Resort in Northfield, Ohio on October 10, 2026. The course is organized as repeated one mile loops on ski slopes, each loop gaining 375 feet of elevation. Competitors may complete as many loops as they can within the event time frame, up to a maximum of five loops.
After completing a competitor's chosen number of main loops, an additional short, steep final climb of 0.12 miles with 125 feet of vertical gain must be completed for an official finish. The main loop traverses a sequence of ski runs of increasing difficulty, and the final climb uses a black diamond expert hill.
Packet pick up is available the day before during Brandywine Fall Fest and on race morning. All participants must complete a paper liability waiver from Boston Mills Brandywine Resort during packet pickup before receiving race materials. The posted registration fee for the event is $40.00.
