About the race
Lincoln Marabank is a timed running event on Sunday 28 February 2027 at Burton Waters near Lincoln. Returning to Burton Waters for a third year, the event uses a flat, traffic-free stretch of canal towpath alongside the Roman-built Fossdyke. The main format is a seven hour timed event on multi terrain with measured laps; runners may complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. The event provides medals for everyone who completes at least one lap.
Marathon distance runners can choose to run an approved marathon distance though the measured course may be slightly over that distance. There is also the possibility of an early start for marathon entrants, which can give additional time to complete the distance. The event runs under an ARC permit and is insured to ARC standards. Organisers provide a well stocked aid station.
Entry is limited to 50 participants and the minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 20 February 2027. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £30.00 and Unaffiliated £32.00.
Refunds and deferrals are not offered, but entries can be transferred to another runner with at least seven days notice; in exceptionally poor weather entries may be deferred to the next year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
