LIC Wellness Fest - Hurricane Fit Race
The LIC Wellness Fest includes the Hurricane Fit Race, an obstacle event staged on 44th Drive between Jackson Avenue and Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. The course is confined to a single city block and features 20 obstacles while the street is closed for the event.
Programming and on-site services include live online, text and email results, free finish line photos and same-day video, fitness demonstrations, wellness activations, live workouts and classes, nutritional workshops, massage and recovery zones, and free samples and giveaways. Registered runners who register three weeks in advance receive a personalized bib.
Awards include a top prize of $500 to the first overall male and female, with awards for the top three male and female overall. Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup and last-minute registrants within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text within about 90 seconds.
